Hannah + Reed / San Miguel de Allende Wedding
On this occasion I had the opportunity to accompany Hannah and Reed on their wedding day in incredible San Miguel de Allende. They were two great days full of horseback riding, food, dancing and laughter (and why not… also tequila) .
For me this was a very special wedding, because it was the first time that I was as the first camera in such a big event (two long and tiring days). But in the end the nerves/excitement were worth it. Here I leave how it went.
We started day one with a horseback ride through Coyote Canyon with our friends at Coyote Canyon Adventures, everything was managed and organized by the magnificent girls at Bougainvillea Wedding Planning. To tell the truth, I'm not a great rider, what's more, it was like the fourth time I've gotten on a horse in my entire life, but I'm not one of those who back down so easily. Having to shoot while riding turned out to be quite a challenge but things turned out very well. We finished the ride with a delicious lunch and some beers.
That evening a beautiful rehearsal dinner took place at the NENA Boutique Hotel, a very cool opportunity for the two families to get to know each other better and to share some laughs and memories. Tears are never lacking in these moments.
Day two was the day of the wedding, so we (me and my second camera) woke up at 6am to be ready at the house where the bride was staying, an amazing villa called Casa Hyder. It is a spectacular place with several gardens, 11 rooms and all possible amenities, its very colonial look is the perfect representation of San Miguel de Allende. From there we went to the church of San Pablo in the center of San Miguel, at the end of the ceremony we walked through the center of the city back to Casa Hyder where the reception and party took place. A special mention again for Bougainvillea who were the planners of the event and everything was magnificent!
